Hello

I'm Hazel Davis, a freelance journalist and copywriter based between Leeds and Manchester. I contribute to a number of publications including the Guardian, Telegraph, Independent, Word, The Strad (regular columnist), Billboard, Muso and Link, (both of which I am former editor), in-flight magazines and many more.

I write on everything from the arts to property, interspersed with food reviews, articles about furniture and press releases for hairdressers, when necessary. My passions are travel, comedy and music, particularly folk music (see www.folkingcool.co.uk) and I have a particular penchant for the comedic output of Norman Wisdom and Goldie Hawn.

I am also a skilled and experienced proofreader and copy editor, with a keen eye for detail and an excellent nose for clean copy. I am a regular copywriter and proofreader for a range of clients including the British Council, Arts Council, Yorkshire Forward and a host of others.
